
Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology
Graduates of 魅影直播 College who have earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, Interdisciplinary Psychology, or Religion will be assured admission into the Master of Arts Program in Counseling Psychology at Rosemont College.
To be eligible for this articulation agreement, the following terms and agreements must be met:
- A student must have earned a Bachelor鈥檚 degree in Psychology, Interdisciplinary Psychology, or Religion with a minimum grade point average of 3.0.
- A student must complete the formal admission process, and include a statement of purpose and an official 魅影直播 College transcript. The Chair of the Psychology, Interdisciplinary Studies, or Religion Department at 魅影直播 College or his/her designee must provide a document attesting to the character and academic quality of the student. The application fee will be waived for applications completed online.
- Students earning a grade point average of 3.5 or above will be eligible for a 25% tuition discount on all course work taken in the Master of Arts Program in Counseling Psychology.
Program Description
Rosemont鈥檚 Counseling Psychology Program develops exceptional clinical skills and the specialized knowledge to enable students to work in diverse settings and with a variety of populations. Courses are based on a combination of theory and experiential opportunities which provide a deep and holistic view of the many different facets of counseling. The faculty are successful, current practitioners, and recognized experts in their fields.
The 60-credit Master鈥檚 degree fully prepares students for professional employment, and fulfills the educational requirements needed for licensure in the state of Pennsylvania. Students are eligible to take the National Counselors Exam immediately upon graduation. The College鈥檚 700-hour required internship and seminar component is designed for students to feel academically and professionally ready to step right into clinically based employment.
Many of our students use their internship and/or practicum sites to further explore areas of interest such as school guidance, in-patient mental health and drug/alcohol treatment, community mental health counseling, victim and/or offender treatment, veteran services, and many other areas.
